Hebreux 13:5
Le dicton, « l'argent est la racine de tout mal » est l'une des parties mal citées de la Bible. Cette phrase a été adaptée et adoptée pour s'adapter à toutes sortes de mouvements politiques et sociaux au cours des siècles. Le manque d'étude biblique réelle et la prépondérance de l'idée que les gens qui ont de l'argent sont intrinsèquement mauvais contribuent à perpétuer ce mythe. Le dicton actuel a trois petits mots qui changent complètement le teint de la phrase, « l'amour de. . . . "
Ce verset, et bien d'autres dans la Bible, nous conseillent de rester loin de l'amour de l'argent. De plus, ce verset nous dit ce que nous devrions déjà savoir - Dieu prend soin de nous.
L'amour de l'argent nous rend égoïstes. Cela nous rend dépendants pour en obtenir plus. Nous sommes pris dans le mercantilisme de Je dois toujours avoir la prochaine nouveauté. Beaucoup de gens vivent de cette façon. Dans son livre Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Robert T. Kiyosaki parle de son vrai père et du père de son meilleur ami et de la façon dont leur attitude envers les finances a façonné sa vie. Qu'il le sache ou non, Kiyosaki propose en fait un style biblique de gestion de l'argent.
L'argent est un outil, comme tout autre outil que nous utilisons. Ce n'est pas un dieu, et il ne devrait jamais devenir un dieu. Se contenter de ce que nous avons devient une chose du passé. Cela ne veut pas dire que vous gardez vos chaussures usées pendant 40 ans - ce que cela signifie, c'est de ne pas courir après la nouveauté.
Dieu prend soin de nous. Lorsque nous abandonnons notre vie à Jésus-Christ, nous devenons celle de Dieu. Non seulement nous nous sommes donnés comme sa propriété, mais Dieu a également fait un pas de plus en nous adoptant comme ses enfants. C'est l'assurance que nous avons. La connaissance que nous sommes enfants du Roi !
Prière
Dieu notre Père, merci pour ton grand amour, ta miséricorde et ta grâce. Aide-nous à nous contenter d'où nous sommes. Il y a une raison pour laquelle Tu nous as amenés à cet endroit. Quand il sera temps pour nous de bouger, Tu nous déplaceras. Aide-nous à toujours Te chercher. Merci d'être toujours là pour nous.

The saying, “money is the root of all evil” is one of the misquoted parts of the Bible. This phrase has been adapted and adopted to fit into all kinds of political and social movements over the centuries. Lack of actual Bible study and the preponderance of the idea that people with money are inherently evil help to perpetuate this myth. The actual saying has three little words that completely change the complexion of the phrase, “the love of. . . .”
This verse, and many others in the Bible, advise us to stay away from the love of money. Further, this verse tells us what we should already know - God takes care of us.
The love of money makes us selfish. It makes us dependent on getting more. We get caught up in the commercialism of I must always have the next newest thing. Many people live this way. In his book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Robert T. Kiyosaki talks about his actual dad and the dad of his best friend and how their attitude toward finances shaped his life. Whether he knows it or not, Kiyosaki is actually propounding a Biblical style of money management.
Money is a tool, like any other tool we use. It is not a god, nor should it ever become a god. Being content with what we have is becoming a thing of the past. That does not mean that you keep your worn-out shoes for 40 years though - what it does mean is don’t go chasing after the newest thing.
God takes care of us. When we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, we become God’s. Not only have we given ourselves over as his property, but God has also taken the further step of adopting us as His children. That is the assurance we have. The knowledge that we are children of the King!
Prayer
Father God, thank You for your great love, mercy and grace. Help us to be content with where we are. There is some reason that You have brought us to this place. When it is our time to move, You will move us. Help us to always seek You. Thank You for always being there for us.

Msemo, "pesa ni shina la uovu wote" ni moja wapo ya sehemu zilizotajwa vibaya za Biblia. Kifungu hiki kimebadilishwa na kupitishwa kutoshea katika kila aina ya harakati za kisiasa na kijamii kwa karne nyingi. Ukosefu wa masomo halisi ya Biblia na kutanguliza wazo la kwamba watu wenye pesa asili ni waovu kusaidia kuendeleza hadithi hii. Msemo halisi una maneno matatu madogo ambayo hubadilisha kabisa sura ya kifungu, "upendo wa. . . . ”
Mstari huu, na mengine mengi katika Biblia, yanatushauri tukae mbali na kupenda pesa. Zaidi ya hayo, aya hii inatuambia kile tunapaswa kujua tayari - Mungu hututunza.

Mungu anatujali. Tunapowasilisha maisha yetu kwa Yesu Kristo, tunakuwa wa Mungu. Sio tu kwamba tumejitoa kama mali yake, lakini Mungu pia amechukua hatua zaidi ya kutuchukua kama watoto Wake. Hiyo ndiyo hakikisho tunayo. Ujuzi kwamba sisi ni watoto wa Mfalme!
