Jacques 1:17-18

17tout don excellent, tout présent parfait, vient d'en haut ; il descend du Père des lumières, chez qui il n'y a ni changement ni éclipse. 18Parce qu'il en a décidé ainsi, il nous a fait naître par une parole de vérité, pour que nous soyons en quelque sorte les prémices de ses créatures.

Quand vous examinez votre vie, que voyez-vous ? Cherchez-vous tout le bien qui vous a été montré ? Voyez-vous toutes les bénédictions que Dieu vous a accordées ? Voyez-vous la Grâce de Dieu active dans votre vie ?

Nous devons nous arrêter et faire l'inventaire d'où nous sommes, de ce que nous avons et comment nous sommes arrivés là où nous sommes. En tant que chrétiens qui regardent en arrière, nous devrions clairement voir les temps, les lieux, les personnes et les événements où Dieu est intervenu dans nos vies.

Les dons bons et parfaits viennent de Dieu et de Dieu seul. Dieu est constant. Dieu est Vérité. Dieu est Lumière. En examinant nos vies, nous devrions voir la vérité brillante et éclatante de l'endroit où nous en sommes grâce aux dons bons et parfaits de Dieu.

De plus, lorsque nous acceptons Jésus comme notre Seigneur et Sauveur, nous sommes adoptés en tant qu'enfants de Dieu à part entière. Nous sommes censés vivre notre vie comme Sa possession et Sa propriété. Dieu nous donne des talents et des dons. Nous devons les utiliser pour sa gloire et son honneur. Que nous soyons des ministres professionnels ou des laïcs, nous avons tous la même responsabilité d'utiliser nos dons et nos talents au maximum et de glorifier Dieu dans le processus.

Prenez le temps dès maintenant d'énumérer toutes les bénédictions de votre vie. Ne vous attardez pas sur les choses négatives ou les « et si ». Concentrez-vous sur vos cadeaux. Concentrez-vous sur vos talents. Concentrez-vous sur tout le bien que vous voyez en ce moment dans votre vie. Ensuite, retracez toutes les bonnes choses que Dieu a faites pour vous au fil des ans. Écrivez-les. Lorsque vous vous sentez triste, seul et déprimé, sortez cette liste et examinez-la.

La réalité est que Dieu vous aime et si vous êtes chrétien, vous êtes son enfant.

Prière

Cher Dieu Père, merci d'être avec nous et de nous donner de bons et parfaits cadeaux qui répondent à tous nos besoins. Puissions-nous voir toutes les fois où vous nous avez bénis. Puissions-nous reconnaître Votre Seigneurie et vous remercier de votre bienveillance envers nous.

James 1:17-18

17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

When you examine your life, what do you see?  Do you look for all the good that has been shown to you?  Do you see all the blessings that God has bestowed upon you?  Do you see the Grace of God active in your life?

We must stop and take inventory of where we are, what we have, and how we arrived where we are.  As Christians looking back, we should clearly see the times, places, people, and events where God has intervened in our lives.  

Good and perfect gifts come from God and God alone.  God is Constant.  God is Truth.  God is Light.  As we look over our lives we should see the bright and shining Truth of where we are as a result of God’s good and perfect gifts.

Further, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are adopted as full-fledged children of God.  We are expected to live our lives as His possession and property.  God gives us talents and gifts.  We are to use them to His glory and honor.  Whether we are professional ministers or laypersons, we all have the same responsibility to use our gifts and talents to the utmost and glorify God in the process.

Take some time right now to list out all of the blessings in your life.  Do not dwell on the negative things or the “what-ifs.”  Focus on your gifts.  Focus on your talents.  Focus on all of the good that you see right now in your life.  Then, trace back all the good things that God has done for you over the years.  Write them out.  When you feel sad, alone, and depressed take this list out and look at it.

The reality is, God loves you and if you are a Christian, you are His child.

Prayer

Dear Father God, thank You that you are with us and that you give us good and perfect gifts that fulfill all of our needs.  May we see all of the times You have blessed us.  May we acknowledge your Lordship and thank you for your benevolence to us.

Yakobo 1:17-18

17 Kila kutoa kuliko kwema, na kila kitolewacho kilicho kamili, hutoka juu, hushuka kwa Baba wa mianga; kwake hakuna kubadilika, wala kivuli cha kugeuka-geuka. 18 Kwa kupenda kwake mwenyewe alituzaa sisi kwa neno la kweli, tuwe kama limbuko la viumbe vyake.

Unapochunguza maisha yako, unaona nini? Je! Unatafuta mema yote ambayo umeonyeshwa? Je! Unaona baraka zote ambazo Mungu amekupa? Je! Unaona Neema ya Mungu inafanya kazi katika maisha yako?

Lazima tusimame na kuchukua hesabu ya mahali tulipo, tulicho nacho, na jinsi tulifika mahali tulipo. Kama Wakristo tunaangalia nyuma, tunapaswa kuona wazi nyakati, mahali, watu, na hafla ambazo Mungu ameingilia kati katika maisha yetu.

Zawadi nzuri na kamilifu hutoka kwa Mungu na Mungu peke yake. Mungu ni wa kawaida. Mungu ni Ukweli. Mungu ni Nuru. Tunapoangalia juu ya maisha yetu tunapaswa kuona Ukweli mkali na unaong'aa wa mahali tulipo kama matokeo ya zawadi nzuri na kamilifu za Mungu.

Zaidi ya hayo, tunapomkubali Yesu kama Bwana na Mwokozi wetu tunachukuliwa kama watoto kamili wa Mungu. Tunatarajiwa kuishi maisha yetu kama milki na mali yake. Mungu hutupa talanta na zawadi. Tunapaswa kuzitumia kwa utukufu na heshima yake. Ikiwa sisi ni wahudumu wa kitaalam au wachafu, sisi sote tuna jukumu sawa la kutumia karama na talanta zetu kwa kiwango cha juu na kumtukuza Mungu katika mchakato huo.

Chukua muda sasa kuorodhesha baraka zote maishani mwako. Usifikirie juu ya mambo mabaya au "nini-ikiwa." Zingatia zawadi zako. Zingatia talanta zako. Zingatia mazuri yote unayoyaona sasa katika maisha yako. Kisha, fuatilia mambo yote mazuri ambayo Mungu amekufanyia kwa miaka iliyopita. Waandike. Unapohisi huzuni, upweke, na unyogovu toa orodha hii na uiangalie.

Ukweli ni kwamba, Mungu anakupenda na ikiwa wewe ni Mkristo, wewe ni mtoto Wake.

Maombi

Mpendwa Baba Mungu, asante kwa kuwa uko nasi na kwamba unatupatia zawadi nzuri na kamilifu ambazo zinatimiza mahitaji yetu yote. Naomba tuone nyakati zote ambazo umetubariki. Wacha tukubali ukuu wako na asante kwa ukarimu wako kwetu.

Amina
