Ésaïe 40:26

26Regardez les cieux, là-haut, voyez qui a créé les étoiles, qui les fait sortir au complet comme une armée à la parade. Il les appelle toutes par leur nom. Sa force est si grande et son pouvoir est tel, qu'aucune ne manque à l'appel.

L'un des nombreux endroits dans la Bible qui parle de Dieu créant le monde, Isaïe utilise ce fait pour montrer à quel point nous sommes petits et insignifiants dans le schéma des choses. Dieu, en revanche, est le Créateur de toutes choses et toutes choses sont créées par Lui. Sans Dieu, il n'y aurait rien qui existerait - à l'exception de Dieu.

En pensant à cela - en travaillant réellement à travers ce chapitre - nous voyons la pleine puissance, la puissance et la majesté de Dieu. Même les personnes les plus puissantes et les plus influentes du monde sont tout simplement minuscules par rapport à Dieu.

Ce qui rend cela encore plus étonnant et impressionnant, c'est que Dieu connaît toujours chacun de nous individuellement, tout comme il connaît chaque étoile.

Prière

Père puissant et éternel, créateur de toutes choses ! Aide-nous à en savoir plus sur qui tu es. Aide-nous à comprendre qui nous sommes. Aide-nous à sonder le don merveilleux de la vie éternelle qui nous permet d'entrer en ta présence. Puissions-nous, à juste titre, ressentir la crainte et l'émerveillement de tout ce que vous êtes et de tout ce que vous avez fait.

Isaiah 40:26

26Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:

Who created all these?

He who brings out the starry host one by one

and calls forth each of them by name.

Because of his great power and mighty strength,

not one of them is missing.

One of the many places in the Bible that talks about God creating the world, Isaiah uses this fact to show how small and insignificant we really are in the scheme of things.  God, by contrast, is The Creator of all things and all things are created by Him.  Without God, there is nothing that would exist - except for God.

Thinking about this--actually working through this chapter--we see the full power, might, and majesty of God.  Even the most powerful and influential people in the world are simply minuscule when compared to God.

What makes this even more amazing and awe-inspiring is that God still knows each of us individually, just as He knows each and every star.

Prayer

Mighty, Everlasting Father, Creator of all things!  Help us to learn more of who You are.  Help us to understand who we are.  Help us to fathom the wondrous gift of eternal life that allows us to come into Your presence.  May we rightly feel the awe and wonder of all that You are and all that You have done.

26 Inueni macho yenu juu, mkaone; ni nani aliyeziumba hizi; aletaye nje jeshi lao kwa hesabu; aziita zote kwa majina; kwa ukuu wa uweza wake, na kwa kuwa yeye ni hodari kwa nguvu zake; hapana moja isiyokuwapo mahali pake.

Mojawapo ya maeneo mengi katika Biblia ambayo yanazungumza juu ya Mungu kuumba ulimwengu, Isaya anatumia ukweli huu kuonyesha jinsi sisi ni wadogo na wasio na maana katika mpango wa vitu. Mungu, kwa kulinganisha, ndiye Muumba wa vitu vyote na vitu vyote vimeumbwa na Yeye. Bila Mungu, hakuna kitu ambacho kingetokea - isipokuwa Mungu.

Kufikiria juu ya hii - kweli kufanya kazi katika sura hii - tunaona nguvu kamili, nguvu, na ukuu wa Mungu. Hata watu wenye nguvu na ushawishi mkubwa ulimwenguni ni ndogo tu ikilinganishwa na Mungu.

Kinachofanya hii iwe ya kushangaza zaidi na ya kutisha ni kwamba Mungu bado anamjua kila mmoja wetu, kama vile anajua kila nyota.

Nguvu, Baba wa Milele, Muumba wa vitu vyote! Tusaidie kujifunza zaidi ya wewe ni nani. Tusaidie kuelewa sisi ni nani. Tusaidie kufahamu zawadi ya ajabu ya uzima wa milele ambayo inaturuhusu kuja katika uwepo Wako. Naomba tujisikie kwa haki mshangao na maajabu ya yote uliyo na yote uliyoyafanya.
