Deutéronome 32:4

4Il est le Rocher; son action est parfaite, car toutes ses voies sont équité; c'est un Dieu de constance: pas d'injustice en lui, il est juste et droit.

Ceci est un autre exemple de poésie hébraïque. La structure est synonyme de parallélisme. Ce type de poésie ne se soucie pas des rimes, le but est de dire deux fois la même chose en utilisant des images différentes. Dans ce cas particulier, la ligne explicative est la deuxième phrase et la ligne descriptive est la première phrase.

Le Rocher = Un Dieu de fidélité

Comprendre le genre de la Bible est essentiel pour comprendre la Bible. Comprendre comment les auteurs ont utilisé et arrangé les mots est le seul moyen d'interpréter correctement la Bible. Tous les genres ne doivent pas être pris au pied de la lettre. Tous les genres ne doivent pas être pris au sens figuré. Tous les genres ne peuvent pas être lus comme un récit. Tous les genres ne peuvent pas être lus comme prophétiques. Tous les genres ne peuvent pas être lus comme didactiques. Tous les genres ne peuvent pas être lus comme normatifs.

Si vous en avez les moyens, il est important d'acheter une Bible d'étude académique. Cette Bible contiendra des notes et des articles qui donneront un aperçu approfondi non seulement des genres, mais aussi de l'histoire politique et culturelle ainsi que de la géographie liée au texte. Ce verset du poème de Deutéronome 32 nous parle de la fidélité de Dieu. La fermeté de Dieu. Il est comme un énorme rocher. Il est toujours stable. Il est toujours fidèle. Il est toujours juste.

Si nous sentons que Dieu est injuste ou que Dieu ne nous a pas été fidèle dans certains domaines de notre vie, nous n'avons pas besoin de regarder et de blâmer Dieu. Nous devons nous examiner et voir où nous avons pris le mauvais chemin loin de Dieu. Dieu est toujours stable et sûr. Dieu est toujours fidèle. Si nous pensons que Dieu a changé et ne nous est pas fidèle, la faute en incombe à nous et non à Dieu. Nous mesurons nos croyances et nos actions sur la base de qui est Dieu. Nous ne mesurons pas Dieu selon qui nous sommes.

Prière

Merci Seigneur, notre Rocher, notre Salut, notre Rédempteur. Nous vous remercions d'être inébranlable et fidèle en toutes choses. Nous vous remercions d'être toujours là pour nous. Nous prions pour que nous continuions à vous regarder comme le centre de notre être. Puissions-nous toujours garder à l'esprit que nous devons nous mesurer à vous et non l'inverse.

Deuteronomy 32:4

4“The Rock, his work is perfect,

for all his ways are justice.

A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,

just and upright is He.

This is another example of Hebrew poetry.  The structure is synonymous parallelism.  This type of poetry is not worried about rhyming, the point of it is to say the same thing twice using different images.  In this particular case, the explanatory line is the second sentence and the descriptive line is the first sentence.

The Rock = A God of faithfulness

Understanding the genre of the Bible is key to understanding the Bible.  Understanding how the authors used and arranged words is the only way that we can rightly interpret the Bible.  Not all genres are to be taken literally.  Not all genres are to be taken figuratively.  Not all genres can be read as a narrative.  Not all genres can be read as prophetic.  Not all genres can be read as didactic.  Not all genres can be read as prescriptive.

If you have the means, it is important to buy an academic study Bible.  This Bible will have notes and articles in it that give deep insight into not only the genres, but the political and cultural history as well as the geography related to the text.  If you are unable to buy an academic study Bible, then buy a Bible that includes introductions to the Books of the Bible, includes maps, and an index and concordance.

This verse from the poem in Deuteronomy 32 tells us of the faithfulness of God.  The steadfastness of God.  He is like a huge boulder.  He is always steady.  He is always faithful.  He is always just.

If we feel that God is being unjust or that God has not been faithful to us in some area of our lives, we do not need to look at and blame God.  We need to examine ourselves and see where we have taken the wrong path away from God.  God is always steady and sure.  God is always faithful.  If we think that God has changed and is not faithful to us, the fault lies with us and not God.  We measure our beliefs and actions on the foundation of who God is.  We do not measure God according to who we are.

Prayer

Thank you O Lord, our Rock, our Salvation, our Redeemer.  We thank You that you are steadfast and faithful in all things.  We thank You that You are always there for us.  We pray that we continue to look to You as the center of our being.  May we always keep at the forefront of minds that we are to measure ourselves against You and not the other way around.

Kumbukumbu 32:4

4Yeye ni Mwamba, kazi zake ni kamilifu,

njia zake zote ni haki.

Mungu mwaminifu ambaye hakosei,

yeye ni mnyofu na mwenye haki.

Huu ni mfano mwingine wa mashairi ya Kiebrania. Muundo huo ni ulinganifu sawa. Aina hii ya mashairi haina wasiwasi juu ya mashairi, maana yake ni kusema kitu kimoja mara mbili kwa kutumia picha tofauti. Katika kisa hiki, mstari wa kuelezea ni sentensi ya pili na mstari wa kuelezea ni sentensi ya kwanza.

Mwamba = Mungu wa uaminifu

Kazi yake ni kamilifu = ambaye hakosei

Njia zake ni haki = yeye ni mwadilifu mwenye haki

Kuelewa aina ya Biblia ni ufunguo wa kuielewa Biblia. Kuelewa jinsi waandishi walitumia na kupanga maneno ndiyo njia pekee ambayo tunaweza kutafsiri Biblia kwa usahihi. Sio aina zote zinapaswa kuchukuliwa kihalisi. Sio aina zote zinapaswa kuchukuliwa kwa mfano. Sio aina zote zinazoweza kusomwa kama hadithi. Sio aina zote zinazoweza kusomwa kama za kinabii. Sio aina zote zinazoweza kusomwa kama mafunzo. Sio aina zote zinazoweza kusomwa kama maagizo.

Ikiwa una uwezo, ni muhimu kununua Biblia ya masomo. Biblia hii itakuwa na maelezo na nakala ndani yake ambazo zinatoa ufahamu wa kina sio tu kwa aina, bali historia ya kisiasa na kitamaduni na vile vile jiografia inayohusiana na maandishi. Ikiwa huwezi kununua Biblia ya masomo, basi nunua Biblia inayojumuisha utangulizi wa Vitabu vya Biblia, pamoja na ramani, na faharisi na faharasa.

Mstari huu kutoka kwa shairi katika Kumbukumbu la Torati 32 unatuambia juu ya uaminifu wa Mungu. Uimara wa Mungu. Yeye ni kama jiwe kubwa. Yeye ni thabiti kila wakati. Yeye ni mwaminifu kila wakati. Yeye ni mwadilifu kila wakati.

Ikiwa tunahisi kuwa Mungu hatendi haki au kwamba Mungu amekuwa si mwaminifu kwetu katika sehemu fulani ya maisha yetu, hatuhitaji kumtazama na kumlaumu Mungu. Tunapaswa kujichunguza na kuona ni wapi tumeondoa njia mbaya kutoka kwa Mungu. Mungu daima ni thabiti na ana uhakika. Mungu ni mwaminifu siku zote. Ikiwa tunafikiri kwamba Mungu amebadilika na sio mwaminifu kwetu, kosa liko kwetu na sio Mungu. Tunapima imani na matendo yetu kwa msingi wa Mungu ni nani. Hatupimi Mungu kulingana na sisi ni nani.

Asante ee Bwana, Mwamba wetu, Wokovu wetu, Mkombozi wetu. Tunakushukuru kwa kuwa wewe ni thabiti na mwaminifu katika mambo yote. Tunakushukuru kwamba Wewe uko kila wakati kwa ajili yetu. Tunaomba kwamba tuendelee kukutazama wewe kama kitovu cha maisha yetu. Naomba tuwe daima mbele ya akili kwamba tunapaswa kujipima dhidi yako na sio njia nyingine.
