Proverbes 15:29
29L'Éternel s'éloigne des méchants,
Mais il écoute la prière des justes.
Il y a une station de radio chrétienne à Houston, au Texas, qui utilise la phase «Dieu écoute» dans toutes ses publicités. C'est un excellent marketing. C'est court. C'est explicite. C'est simple. Mieux encore, c'est vrai!
Dieu entend nos prières. Proverbes 15 est une liste de choses que Dieu aime et que Dieu déteste. En lisant ce verset dans son contexte plus large, nous voyons ce que signifie la première partie de ce verset. Dieu n'a pas bougé. Les méchants se sont éloignés de Dieu et se sont éloignés de lui. Dieu entend leurs prières, mais ils prient pour des choses dans leur propre intérêt, pas dans les choses de l’intérêt de Dieu. Quand nous cherchons Dieu, nous trouverons Dieu. On nous le répète encore et encore (Deutéronome 4:29; Proverbes 8:17; Jérémie 29:13, pour ne citer que quelques exemples!)
Dieu entend nos prières. Dieu écoute. Cela ne signifie pas que Dieu accomplira nos prières. Il y a toute une industrie chrétienne qui a été construite sur le faux enseignement de demander des choses et de dire ensuite «au nom de Jésus» à la fin de la prière. Ce faux enseignement est que tout ce que nous demandons à Dieu, Il nous le donnera. Ces enseignants prennent un ou deux versets sur ce concept et créent une fausse théologie selon laquelle Dieu est le grand donateur de cadeaux, le grand génie qui accorde tous les souhaits, le grand père Noël. Leur argument est que tous les «vrais» croyants devraient être capables de prier et ensuite être en bonne santé, riches et n'avoir aucun problème. Ce n'est PAS un enseignement biblique!
Voici une liste de certains des versets qu'ils utilisent pour justifier leur raisonnement: Matthieu 18:19; Matthieu 21:22; Marc 11:24; Jean 14:13; Jean 15: 7; Jean 15:16; Jean 16: 23–24; Jacques 1: 5–6; Jacques 1:17; 1 Jean 3:22; 1 Jean 5: 14-15.
La partie clé que les faux enseignants laissent de côté est que nous le demandons au nom de Jésus - cela signifie que nous devons prier pour les choses que Jésus voudrait, et non pour les choses que nous, nous-mêmes, voudrions. Si leur «évangile de prospérité et de richesse» était vrai, alors nous aurions un Nouveau Testament totalement différent! Après être devenu chrétien, Paul voyagerait en utilisant les meilleurs bateaux, chevaux et voitures. L'église de Jérusalem serait si énorme qu'elle aurait construit une autre section de Jérusalem et il n'y aurait pas eu besoin là-bas. Il ne serait pas nécessaire que Paul demande des dons à donner à l'Église parce que cette Église serait bénie avec toute la richesse pour laquelle elle pourrait prier! Paul n'aurait pas à travailler comme fabricant de tentes. Aucun des auteurs du Nouveau Testament n'aurait quoi que ce soit à écrire concernant la persécution, la mauvaise santé, l'aide aux veuves pauvres et aux orphelins. Ce serait un livre bien différent!
Étant donné que le Nouveau Testament que nous avons décrit la pauvreté, la persécution, la mauvaise santé (Paul et Timothée par exemple) et la lutte quotidienne de la vie, comment peut-on croire qu'une simple prière se terminant «au nom de Jésus» va les faire riche et sain? Même Jésus dit à ses disciples de s'attendre à des épreuves et des tribulations (Jean 16)!
Dieu écoute. Dieu entend notre prière. Comment prier? Jésus nous donne un modèle de prière dans Matthieu 6
9Voici donc comment vous devez prier:
que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre
11Donne-nous aujourd'hui notre pain quotidien;
comme nous aussi nous pardonnons à ceux qui nous ont offensés;
13ne nous induis pas en tentation,
Car c'est à toi qu'appartiennent, dans tous les siècles, le règne, la puissance et la gloire. Amen!
Reconnaissez la sainteté et la souveraineté de Dieu.
Demandez que sa volonté soit faite - que nous soyons dans cette volonté
Demandez que nous ayons ce dont nous avons besoin aujourd'hui
Demander pardon et pardonner
Demandez qu'Il nous tienne hors de l'emprise du diable
Dans le numéro un, il y a aussi l'idée de compter vos bénédictions et de reconnaître toutes les choses que Dieu a faites pour vous.
Dieu écoute. Dieu ne répondra peut-être jamais à certaines de vos prières. Dieu peut prendre son temps pour répondre à vos prières. Dieu peut répondre immédiatement à vos prières. Mais Dieu entend vos prières.

29The Lord is far from the wicked,
but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
There is a Christian radio station in Houston, Texas that uses the phase “God Listens” in all of their advertising. This is great marketing. It is short. It is self-explanatory. It is simple. Even better, it is true!
God hears our prayers. Proverbs 15 is a list of things that God loves and God hates. As we read this verse in its larger context, we see what is meant by the first part of this verse. God has not moved. The wicked have moved away from God and have moved far away from Him. God does hear their prayers, but they are praying for things in their own interest, not in the things of God’s interest. When we seek God, we will find God. We are told this over and over again (Deuteronomy 4:29; Proverbs 8:17; Jeremiah 29:13, just to name a few examples!)
God hears our prayers. God listens. This does not mean that God will fulfill our prayers. There is a whole Christian industry that has been built up on the false teaching of asking for things and then saying “in Jesus’ name” at the end of the prayer. This false teaching is that whatever we ask for from God, He will give it to us. These teachers take one or two verses on this concept and create a false theology that God is the Great Gift Giver, The Great Genie who Grants Every Wish, The Great Santa Claus. Their argument goes that all “true” believers should be able to pray and then be healthy, rich, and have no problems at all. This is NOT Biblical teaching!
Here is a list of some of the verses that they use to justify their reasoning: Matthew 18:19; Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:24; John 14:13; John 15:7; John 15:16; John 16:23–24; James 1:5–6; James 1:17; 1 John 3:22; 1 John 5:14–15.
The key part that the false teachers leave out is that we are asking it in the name of Jesus -- that means we are to pray for the things that Jesus would want, not the things that we, ourselves, would want. If their “prosperity and wealth gospel” were true, then we would have a totally different New Testament! After becoming a Christian, Paul would be traveling using the best ships and horses and carriages. The Church in Jerusalem would be so huge that it would have built another section of Jerusalem and there would be no need there. There would not be a need for Paul to ask for donations to give to the Church because that Church would be blessed with all the wealth they could pray for! Paul would not have to work as a tentmaker. None of the New Testament authors would have anything to write about regarding persecution, bad health, giving aid to the poor widows and orphans. It would be a quite different book!
Given that the New Testament that we have describes poverty, persecution, bad health (Paul and Timothy for example), and the daily struggle of life how can anyone believe that a simple prayer ending “in the name of Jesus” is going to make them rich and healthy? Even Jesus tells His disciples to expect trials and tribulations (John 16)!
God listens. God hears our prayer. How are we to pray? Jesus gives us a model prayer in Matthew 6
9“This, then, is how you should pray:
11Give us today our daily bread.
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
Acknowledge the holiness and sovereignty of God.
Ask that His will be done - that we may be in that will
Ask that we have what we need for today
Ask for forgiveness and give forgiveness
Ask that He takes us out of the grasp of the Devil
In number one is also the idea of counting your blessings and recognizing all the things that God has done for you.
God listens. God may never answer some of your prayers. God may take His time in answering your prayers. God may immediately answer your prayers. But God hears your prayers.

Kuna kituo cha redio cha Kikristo huko Houston, Texas ambacho hutumia sehemu ya "Mungu Anasikiliza" katika matangazo yao yote. Hii ni uuzaji mzuri. Ni fupi. Inajielezea yenyewe. Ni rahisi. Bora zaidi, ni kweli!
Mungu husikia maombi yetu. Mithali 15 ni orodha ya vitu ambavyo Mungu hupenda na Mungu huchukia. Tunaposoma aya hii katika muktadha wake mkubwa, tunaona kile kinachomaanishwa na sehemu ya kwanza ya aya hii. Mungu hajahama. Waovu wameondoka mbali na Mungu na wamehama mbali naye. Mungu husikia maombi yao, lakini wanaomba vitu kwa masilahi yao wenyewe, sio kwa mambo ya masilahi ya Mungu. Tunapomtafuta Mungu, tutampata Mungu. Tumeambiwa hii tena na tena (Kumbukumbu la Torati 4:29; Mithali 8:17; Yeremia 29:13, kutaja mifano michache!)
Mungu husikia maombi yetu. Mungu husikiliza. Hii haimaanishi kwamba Mungu atatimiza maombi yetu. Kuna tasnia nzima ya Kikristo ambayo imejengwa juu ya mafundisho ya uwongo ya kuuliza vitu halafu kusema "kwa jina la Yesu" mwisho wa sala. Mafundisho haya ya uwongo ni kwamba chochote tunachoomba kutoka kwa Mungu, atatupa sisi. Walimu hawa huchukua kifungu kimoja au mbili juu ya dhana hii na kuunda teolojia ya uwongo kwamba Mungu ndiye Mpaji Mkuu wa Zawadi, Mjuzi Mkubwa ambaye Anatoa Kila Kutamani, Santa Claus Mkuu. Hoja yao inasema kwamba waumini wote wa "kweli" wanapaswa kuwa na uwezo wa kuomba na kisha kuwa na afya, tajiri, na wasiwe na shida kabisa. Haya sio mafundisho ya kibiblia!

Sehemu muhimu ambayo waalimu wa uwongo wanaiacha ni kwamba tunauliza kwa jina la Yesu - hiyo inamaanisha tunapaswa kuombea vitu ambavyo Yesu angetaka, sio vitu ambavyo sisi wenyewe, tungetaka. Ikiwa injili yao ya "mafanikio na utajiri" ingekuwa ya kweli, basi tungekuwa na Agano Jipya tofauti kabisa! Baada ya kuwa Mkristo, Paulo angesafiri kwa kutumia meli bora na farasi na mikokoteni. Kanisa la Yerusalemu lingekuwa kubwa sana hivi kwamba lingeweza kujenga sehemu nyingine ya Yerusalemu na hakungekuwa na haja huko. Hapatakuwa na haja ya Paulo kuomba michango ya kutoa kwa Kanisa kwa sababu Kanisa hilo litabarikiwa na utajiri wote ambao wangeweza kuombea! Paulo asingelazimika kufanya kazi ya kutengeneza mahema. Hakuna hata mmoja wa waandishi wa Agano Jipya ambaye angekuwa na chochote cha kuandika juu ya mateso, afya mbaya, kutoa msaada kwa wajane masikini na mayatima. Ingekuwa kitabu tofauti kabisa!
Kwa kuwa Agano Jipya ambalo tunalo linaelezea umasikini, mateso, afya mbaya (kwa mfano Paulo na Timotheo), na mapambano ya kila siku ya maisha ni vipi mtu yeyote anaweza kuamini kwamba sala rahisi inayoishia "kwa jina la Yesu" itawafanya tajiri na afya? Hata Yesu anawaambia wanafunzi wake watarajie majaribu na dhiki (Yohana 16)!
Mungu husikiliza. Mungu husikia maombi yetu. Je! Tunapaswa kuombaje? Yesu anatupa sala ya mfano katika Mathayo 6
9“Hivi basi, ndivyo iwapasavyo kuomba:
hapa duniani kama huko mbinguni.
bali utuokoe kutoka kwa yule mwovu
[kwa kuwa Ufalme ni wako, na nguvu,
na utukufu, hata milele. Amen].’
Tambua utakatifu na enzi kuu ya Mungu.
Omba mapenzi yake yatendeke - ili tuweze kuwa katika mapenzi hayo
Uliza kwamba tuna kile tunachohitaji kwa leo
Omba msamaha na toa msamaha
Uliza kwamba Atutoe mikononi mwa Ibilisi
Nambari moja pia ni wazo la kuhesabu baraka zako na kutambua vitu vyote ambavyo Mungu amekufanyia.
Mungu husikiliza. Mungu anaweza kamwe kujibu baadhi ya maombi yako. Mungu anaweza kuchukua muda wake kujibu maombi yako. Mungu anaweza kujibu maombi yako mara moja. Lakini Mungu anasikia maombi yako.
