Jean 6:35

Jésus continua: «Moi je suis le pain de vie. Celui qui vient à moi n'aura jamais faim et celui qui croit en moi n'aura jamais soif.» 

Jésus est notre nourriture. Nous avons en lui tout ce dont nous avons besoin. Une fois que nous lui donnons notre vie, il nourrit notre âme; Il calme nos peurs; Il nous remplit de joie et de paix. Il y en a beaucoup aujourd'hui qui tentent de combler le vide de leur vie avec toutes sortes de choses, de l'argent à la drogue en passant par le sexe, l'alcool et le pouvoir, en passant par la sortie de la société et la vie dans la rue ou à la campagne. Dans tous leurs efforts pour apaiser la faim, ils ne se tournent pas vers Dieu.

Au cours des années 1960 et 1970, à l'âge adulte des baby-boomers, tous les types de cultes et de communautés de liberté ont été créés à la recherche de la vérité, de la liberté et de la connaissance supérieure. Rien n'apaisera votre faim pour ces choses si ce n'est d'accepter Jésus-Christ comme votre Seigneur et Sauveur.

Prière

Cher Seigneur, merci de nous remplir complètement. Vous seul pouvez nous satisfaire complètement. Seul Toi, Celui qui nous a créés, sait exactement ce dont nous avons besoin. Aidez-nous à vous rechercher. Aidez-nous à partager votre amour et votre plénitude avec un monde qui souffre et qui a faim de ce que vous seul pouvez donner.

John 6:35

35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

Jesus is our sustenance.  We have in Him all that we need.  Once we give our lives to Him, He nourishes our soul; He calms our fears; He fills us with joy and peace.  There are many today who attempt to fill the emptiness of their lives with all types of things from money to drugs to sex to alcohol to power to just checking out of society and living on the streets or out in the countryside.  In all of their seeking to satiate the hunger they do not turn to God.

During the 1960s and 1970s there in the coming of age of the Baby Boomers there were all types of cults and freedom communes created in search of truth, freedom, and higher knowledge.  Nothing will abate your hunger for these things except accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You that You completely fill us up.  Only You can completely satisfy us.  Only You, the One who created us knows exactly what we need.  Help us to seek You out.  Help us to share Your love and fullness with a world that is hurting and hungry for what only You can give.

35Yesu akawaambia, “Mimi ndimi mkate wa uzima. Yeye ajaye kwangu, hataona njaa kamwe na yeye aniaminiye, hataona kiu kamwe.”

Yesu ndiye riziki yetu. Tunayo kila kitu tunachohitaji ndani yake. Mara tu tunapompa maisha yetu, Yeye hulisha roho zetu; Yeye hutuliza hofu zetu; Yeye hutujaza furaha na amani. Kuna watu wengi leo ambao wanajaribu kujaza utupu wa maisha yao na kila aina ya vitu kutoka pesa hadi dawa za kulevya hadi ngono hadi pombe na nguvu ili kuangalia tu kutoka kwa jamii na kuishi mitaani au nje mashambani. Katika kutafuta kwao kutosheleza njaa hawamgeukii Mungu.

Wakati wa miaka ya 1960 na 1970 huko katika kuja kwa umri wa watoto wachanga kulikuwa na aina zote za ibada na jumuiya za uhuru zilizoundwa kutafuta ukweli, uhuru, na maarifa ya juu. Hakuna kitu kitakachopunguza njaa yako ya vitu hivi isipokuwa kumpokea Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi wako.

Maombi

Mpendwa Bwana, asante kwa kuwa umetujaza kabisa. Wewe tu ndiye unaweza kuturidhisha kabisa. Ni wewe tu, ndiye uliyetuumba ndiye anayejua tunachohitaji. Tusaidie kukutafuta. Tusaidie kushiriki upendo wako na utimilifu na ulimwengu ambao unaumiza na una njaa ya kile tu Unaweza kutoa.
